Michigan State football got a huge crystal ball prediction for four-star 2024 tight end prospect Dylan Mesman. Could he join Nick Marsh in the class?

Mel Tucker’s 2024 recruiting class currently sits at one, but that’s sure to change soon.

Michigan State football is set to kick off its 2022 season and the 2023 class is filling up which means that Tucker and his staff will be hosting plenty of 2024 targets over the course of the year.

Some of these targets have already camped out at Michigan State and have visited East Lansing.

One of these targets is four-star tight end Dylan Mesman from Saline, Mich., who just visited Michigan State on July 30. The trip apparently went well because on Sunday afternoon, 247Sports recruiting insider Corey Robinson put in the first crystal ball for him to Michigan State.

You can read his VIP reasoning here if you have a 247Sports membership.

Mesman would be the second four-star tight end to commit to Michigan State in as many classes as Brennan Parachek picked the Spartans in 2023. Also, Maliq Carr and Daniel Barker were both four-star transfers. Ted Gilmore is really stocking up this position group in East Lansing.

And that’s not even mentioning Luke Nickel in the 2022 who was probably good enough to be a four-star.

Mesman is ranked the No. 215 overall recruit and 14th-best tight end in the 2024 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He would be the top tight end to commit to Tucker yet.

Michigan State had a top 25 recruiting class in 2022, is building another top 25 group for 2023, and 2024 looks like it’s going to get off to a great start.

Things are looking good in East Lansing.
