Jayden Reed is one of those rare talents who could be named to multiple positions on the All-American team. He’s an elite receiver and arguably the best in the Big Ten not named Jaxon Smith-Njigba and he’s also one of the best returners in college football. He could be an All-American returner or receiver and no one would bat an eye.

Reed was one of the most improved players in the Big Ten last season, going from solid starter in 2020 to 1,000-yard receiver in 2021. He also had numerous Moss-ing moments.

Long story short, Reed was clutch in 2021.

Not many players can make the catches in traffic that Reed can and he’s an athletic freak who can burn defensive backs deep or on slant routes. He’s going to be the focal point of the offense and the pressure will be taken off of him by Tre Mosley, Keon Coleman, and Daniel Barker/Maliq Carr. He’s going to benefit from the fact that defenses won’t be able to double-cover him.

The former Freshman All-American is going to push to make an All-American team as one of the nation’s best receivers. He’s come a long way since his first MSU game against Rutgers.
