I’m more hopeful about this one than anything else. This recruitment has been relatively quiet with no true leader being revealed, he has a top five of Missouri, Alabama, Texas A&M, Oregon, and Michigan State. The Spartans have to feel good about landing Miles McVay.

McVay spoke highly of all of his finalists with a decision coming in early August and Michigan State stands in a good spot, especially since they got an official from him on June 17.

Michigan State may have a quiet few weeks before McVay announces his commitment but if the Spartans land Payton Kirkland, I think Miles could join him in East Lansing. The two have a solid friendship and bonded during their visit. A duo of McVay and Kirkland would be massive both literally and for the future of the offensive line.

I’m just going to predict he lands in East Lansing before it’s all said and done because I also like the Spartans’ chances with Kirkland.

McVay is ranked the No. 179 overall recruit and 18th-best offensive tackle in the class, per the updated 247Sports Composite.
