Four-star offensive tackle Chase Bisontis is down to four schools, including Michigan State football, with a decision looming.

Mel Tucker has one name at the top of his board right now on the offensive line with five-star Samson Okunlola trending toward Miami and that’s Chase Bisontis.

Bisontis, a former high school teammate of Michigan State football running back Jalen Berger, is very high on the Spartans with a decision coming any time now.

On Friday, he teased a top four with the Spartans, Rutgers, Texas A&M, and LSU.

It seems as if Georgia has been cut from his list after the Bulldogs previously made his top five back in May before he took official visits. This means that the Spartans’ chances have improved, just based on the math.

But what are Michigan State’s real chances here? If I were to wager an educated guess at the moment, I’d say the Spartans are right there at the top with Texas A&M. Rutgers is probably in that top three with the Aggies and Spartans but Michigan State has been making a strong push for him for months and many believed it was the leader for some time.

Did Texas A&M come in and make an NIL offer he couldn’t refuse? It’s always possible, but Michigan State has the draw of having his former teammate on the roster and the opportunity to play in New Jersey every other year.

Michigan State will learn its fate soon enough as Bisontis could legitimately pull the trigger at any moment and commit.

He would immediately upgrade the 2023 class, ranking as the No. 57 overall recruit and sixth-best offensive tackle, according to the composite.

The Spartans would be well on their way to their best offensive line class ever.

Next. 3 recruits MSU could flip in 2023 class. dark
