That’s right, we have another four-star LSU defensive back commit on the list and if Michigan State is able to swipe both Ryan Yaites and Daylen Austin in the same class, Brian Kelly is going to have to buy Mel Tucker a Father’s Day gift next year.

Austin is a four-star cornerback from Long Beach, Calif., who was high on the Spartans’ list of defensive back targets before he, too, committed to LSU back in the spring.

Michigan State will be pushing to land Austin after he took an official visit at the end of June and this would be especially welcomed if the Spartans miss out on Caleb Presley to Oregon which seems to be the consensus belief there.

Quite possibly at the top of Michigan State’s cornerback board for the class, Austin is ranked the No. 157 overall prospect and No. 21 corner in the class, per the composite.

Michigan State got back into the race with that June 24 official.
