This one is a flip candidate.

Elliot Washington has been committed to Alabama since the end of January, but Mel Tucker has put in some serious work here and many believe it’s only a matter of time before he flips.

Michigan State got an official visit from the four-star safety on June 24 and he seemed to really like what he saw because those flip rumors just continue to roar. You know Tucker is pushing for a flip to happen, but will it be soon? July would be a good bet.

Tucker just lost a defensive back to a decommitment as Jaylon Braxton reopened his recruitment so replacing him with Washington would be massive.

Washington is ranked the No. 109 overall recruit and sixth-best safety in the class, according to the 247Sports Composite. All four crystal balls on 247Sports favor the Spartans.

If Michigan State can flip Washington this month, that could set off a domino effect.

Did we ever think we’d be in recruiting battles exclusively with Alabama?
