Michigan State football is getting one heck of a leader in the form of four-star linebacker Jordan Hall from IMG Academy.

Mel Tucker is selective when it comes to recruiting. While he extends a ton of offers, it feels like, he and his Michigan State football staff evaluate these players thoroughly both on and off the field to find the right fits for the program.

Rarely do you find recruits who are both potential Day 1 starters as well as clear future captains based on the respect they garner off the field.

Jordan Hall is one of those rare recruits.

The four-star linebacker from IMG Academy made headlines when he committed on his official visit to Michigan State, making the announcement at Tucker’s house in front of future teammates and fellow recruits. It was a power move and it showed two primary personality traits: confidence and leadership.

Hall made a move hoping that it would lead to others following suit. The Spartans landed two more four-stars from that weekend of official visits as Hall’s public pledge set off a domino effect.

When you’re a natural leader, others usually follow.

And follow people do.

Being a captain at IMG Academy is a prestigious honor and Hall is the only three-time captain in the program’s history. That’s special and it shows just how respected he is.

A leader on the field, Hall is an even better leader off, coaching youth football following a busy recruitment schedule.

Not only did he coach a youth football team, he led it to a championship.

Giving back to the community is huge and it doesn’t even stop there. He’s also hosting his own youth football camp in a couple of weeks.

A three-time IMG Academy captain who committed in front of dozens of recruits, players, and coaches coaching a youth football team to a championship just weeks before hosting his own youth football camp? Yeah, this dude has that it factor.

Hall is going to be an all-time leader in East Lansing and his freshman year can’t come soon enough.
