There aren’t many recruits I want to be part of Michigan State’s 2023 class more than Enow Etta.

The four-star defensive end from Colleyville, Texas, has been high on the board for quite some time and On3 just had a recruiting expert log a prediction for Etta to land with Michigan.

It would be a heck of a recruiting win if the Spartans were able to beat out the Wolverines for the Texas recruit. He has already taken a visit to Utah and has two more scheduled after this trip to East Lansing to Michigan (June 17) and Stanford (June 24). I could see him either making a decision in the coming week or even right after his official visits, but I feel confident here.

Why do I feel so confident in the Spartans here? Because Andrew Depaepe has been pushing for him for a while now and the two seem to have developed a strong friendship.

Etta is ranked the No. 124 overall recruit and 19th-best defensive lineman in the country, per the composite. But 247Sports is even higher on him, ranking him No. 58 overall in the class.

An Etta commitment would be welcomed and it could set off a domino effect on the defensive line.
