Michigan State Football: 3 official visitors who could commit after June 10 weekend
Michigan State football is hosting another batch of elite official visitors this weekend and the Spartans will be on commit watch once again.
The first official visit weekend for Mel Tucker and Michigan State football has yielded two commitments already and the Spartans are trending in the right direction.
After getting commitments from four-star cornerback Chance Rucker and four-star receiver Demitrius Bell, Tucker and the Spartans are hosting another batch of top targets and most of them are four-stars, along with five-star lineman Samson Okunlola.
The weekend of June 10 will undoubtedly yield even more commitments, but which three guys are the most likely to become Spartans shortly after their visits?
This past week, Michigan State picked up a commitment from four-star cornerback Chance Rucker from Texas and it might be able to make it two straight weeks with a defensive back pledge.
Colton Hood from McDonough, Ga., is high on the Spartans, and vice versa, and his only planned official visit so far is to East Lansing. Expect that to be a sign that the Spartans lead here in his recruitment and Mel Tucker could seal the deal this weekend.
Hood is ranked the No. 679 overall prospect and 62nd-best cornerback in the class, according to. the composite. He also holds offers from Arkansas, Clemson, Florida, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Penn State, Pitt, South Carolina, and UCF, among others.
Clearly he’s a little underrated as a prospect and that’s why Tucker and Co. are pushing so hard for a commitment from the three-star.
