Michigan State Football: Post-spring 2022 game-by-game predictions
Gone is Michael Penix Jr. but the Hoosiers bring in a quarterback from Missouri in Connor Bazelak that might not get enough credit for being a prolific passer. He has completed over 65 percent of his career passes but he needs to cut down his interceptions if the Hoosiers expect to get back on track offensively.
Indiana is usually tough on the Spartans and this season will be more of the same but Michigan State will get the last laugh once again, holding on to the Old Brass Spittoon.
Prediction: Indiana 17, Michigan State 26 (9-2, 6-2)
Penn State ends the season for the Spartans once again and it could be yet another close game like it almost always seems to be. The Land Grant Trophy currently resides in East Lansing, but will that change with the Nittany Lions returning Sean Clifford and Parker Washington?
I’ve flip-flopped back and forth with this one and I originally believed Penn State was going to win based strictly on home-field advantage, but the Spartans are usually prepared when heading into Happy Valley.
Michigan State wins a close one to end the regular season with 10 wins for a second straight year.
Prediction: Michigan State 28, Penn State 24 (10-2, 7-2)
