Wisconsin looked to be in some major trouble last season, limping out to a 1-3 start which was concluded with a blowout home loss to Michigan. Graham Mertz was underwhelming and Paul Chryst’s team looked like a shell of itself.

I see the Badgers entering this game with a 5-1 record and looking to prove that it belongs in the conversation of the Big Ten’s best teams.

Michigan State will have other ideas as Payton Thorne out-duels Mertz and Jalen Berger gets revenge on his former team with a couple of big touchdowns.

Prediction: Wisconsin 17, Michigan State 28 (6-1, 3-1)

Paul Bunyan has been an East Lansing resident for the past two years and although Michigan fans claim that they don’t care much about this rivalry, it eats them up that they’re 0-2 against Mel Tucker.

They’ll finally get their revenge here and beat the third-year head coach but it will be one of those classic battles that go down to the wire which almost always seems like the case in Ann Arbor.

Jim Harbaugh finally beats Tucker and drops the Spartans to 3-2 in Big Ten play.

Prediction: Michigan State 20, Michigan 27 (6-2, 3-2)
