Michigan State football is getting a visit from yet another elite defensive lineman in the form of top-50 prospect Tomarrion Parker.

Michigan State football fans are quickly realizing something: Mel Tucker is a recruiting machine.

The Spartan head coach is bringing in the most talent in college football via official visits this summer and he seemingly keeps adding to his 2023 board with elite prospects.

Another one has emerged in the form of four-star defensive lineman Tomarrion Parker from Phenix City, Ala., who is ranked in the top 50 in the entire 2023 class. On Tuesday, he took an unofficial trip to East Lansing and he’s now reportedly scheduling an official for June.

Parker is just the latest name to emerge on the defensive line in the 2023 class for the Spartans joining fellow blue-chippers like David Hicks, Enow Etta, Jaden Wayne, Bai Jobe, Vic Burley, Jalen Thompson, and A’mauri Washington. The Spartans could land a loaded 2023 recruiting class along the defensive line, led by current commit Andrew Depaepe.

It’s fun to see just what kind of effect Tucker can have on recruiting in such a short period of time. He has completely flipped the expectations of MSU fans on the recruiting trail.

With Depaepe already committed, I wouldn’t be shocked if Michigan State finished with its best class on the defensive line in program history, rivaling the 2016 class — on paper.

A Hicks, Etta, Depaepe, Thompson, and maybe even Parker class would be an all-timer and probably the best in the country for the class. The future is bright along the defensive line thanks to the hires of Brandon Jordan and Marco Coleman.
