Former Michigan State football star Jalen Nailor has reportedly signed a four-year deal with the Minnesota Vikings, worth about $4 million.

It’s been two weeks since the 2022 NFL Draft concluded and four Michigan State football players heard their names called.

Kenneth Walker III went first in the second round to the Seahawks, Jalen Nailor went in the sixth round to the Vikings followed shortly after by Connor Heyward to the Steelers, and AJ Arcuri was selected in the seventh round by the reigning Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams.

One year removed from having zero players selected, Mel Tucker sent four guys to the league via the draft and one just signed a solid four-year rookie deal.

Nailor made it official on Thursday, inking a four-year deal with the Vikings worth $3.84 million and he’ll also reportedly have a signing bonus of over $180,000.

Nailor will join a Vikings offense that has some intriguing pieces with Dalvin Cook, Adam Thielen, Irv Smith Jr., and Justin Jefferson along with Kirk Cousins and he’s going to have his work cut out for him if he wants to crack the two-deep this fall. However, the Vikings may be lacking depth so he should be able to see the field.

Stay healthy, work on that route-running, and showcase that speed and he’ll be one of Cousins’ new favorite toys next season.

It’s good to see that the Vikings are investing in their sixth-round pick and I could see him being a massive steal by the end of his rookie contract.
