The defensive line spots could soon be filling up in the 2023 class for Michigan State and that could force Jalen Thompson to commit sooner rather than later.

Thompson could feel the pressure of Enow Etta being on the verge of becoming a Spartan (it seems) and he could make the call before official visits even start. If there was one prospect who could commit in the next four weeks that would surprise me the least, it would have to be Thompson.

High on Michigan State’s list for quite some time, Thompson has been a priority for Mel Tucker and Co. since he got to campus, and hiring his former head coach only helped matters.

Michigan State got an unofficial visit from Thompson for the spring game and it felt like he was on the verge of committing and spending time with Andrew Depaepe and Etta had to help matters. Those three could become one of the best trios in the class and really cement a dominant future on that offensive line, especially with Brandon Jordan putting in work.

Thompson is ranked the No. 206 overall prospect and 28th-best defensive lineman in the class.
