Joey Hauser posted on Instagram that he was looking for a roommate in East Lansing next year which means he may be back with Michigan State basketball.

After spending the last two seasons with Michigan State basketball, there’s uncertainty surrounding the future of Joey Hauser.

Will the senior forward from Wisconsin decide to move on from his college playing days or will he come back for one last ride? He went through senior day activities at the end of the regular season for the Maryland game but there was always going to be that option for him to return for another season if he wanted to, especially with so many open scholarships for Tom Izzo to address.

Hauser’s camp has been fairly silent since Coach K and Duke ended the Spartans’ season in heartbreaking fashion. He spoke to a local Wisconsin TV station a few weeks ago about his looming decision and he said he still hadn’t made up his mind, but his brother told him he should return to Michigan State.

Since then? Nothing.

Until Tuesday night when a simple Instagram story caused a commotion on social media and hinted at a potential return for one most season with Michigan State.

Hauser is apparently looking for a roommate in East Lansing next year which means that he’ll be at Michigan State and this really can only mean one thing.

I’m not going to jump to a conclusion and say he’s for sure back because that would be reckless, but this is a pretty telling post. If he’s looking for a roommate in East Lansing, that means he’s going to be back around Michigan State next year and, well, you know the rest.

Was this his way of slyly announcing a return or did he not even mean to make people believe that? We won’t know until he makes an official decision but this is a good sign.

Michigan State would love to have his production back next year.

Next. Way-too-early projected starting 5 for 2022-23. dark
