Michigan State football is trending for one of the most important targets in the 2023 class in four-star defensive lineman Enow Etta.

Michigan State is playing host to a wealth of talent this weekend for its annual spring game, led by a few five-stars in the 2024 class. But the 2023 class will be well-represented as well as some of the Spartans’ top targets will be in East Lansing for the annual scrimmage.

One massive 2023 target who will be in attendance will be four-star defensive lineman Enow Etta from Colleyville, Texas.

Etta, one of the top defensive linemen in the country, is being recruited heavily by Brandon Jordan and Marco Coleman, but along with his potential future position coaches, four-star defensive end commit Andrew Depaepe has been pushing for him to become his future teammate. The two would make a fantastic duo on the Spartans’ line.

There was a good development in his recruitment on Wednesday as the Spartans picked up a major crystal ball prediction for him from none other than recruiting guru Steve Wiltfong.

While he’s the lone crystal ball predictor thus far, he’s one of the most connected guys in recruiting and he usually doesn’t make a prediction unless he has some valuable information.

I consider this as Michigan State being clearly in the lead right now heading into Saturday’s unofficial visit for the spring game. And with him having a chance to hang with Depaepe, Jordan, Mel Tucker, and Coleman, there’s a good chance we could be on commit watch.

Etta is the No. 131 overall recruit and 19th-best defensive lineman in the country, according to the composite, but 247Sports is much higher on him, ranking him the No. 58 overall prospect.

Keep it tuned in here for a potential commitment post this weekend — fingers crossed.

Next. Way-too-early projected starting 5 for 2022-23. dark
