2. Marcus Bingham was excellent

Marcus Bingham has had his up and downs this season and all throughout his career. In this game, though, it was a high for Bingham. He had a team-high 19 points which tied a career-high he set earlier this year.

Throughout the night, Bingham played most of his time on the block. He shot 7-for-11 and added 11 rebounds to give him his second double-double in three games. Bingham needs to spend more time in the paint.

Too often last month, Bingham was floating around the perimeter and not battling in the paint. This game showed that he can battle in the paint and that he needs to do so most of his minutes on the floor. He can be so productive when he does so.

When Bingham is on the block and battling in the paint, he is much better. He gives the Spartans a threat down low that forces teams to dig allowing open shots on the perimeter. If Bingham can play strong like this going forward, he might just help this team go far.
