3. Score early and score frequently

Michigan State needs to get out and score. They cannot have another game where they are slow to find an offensive rhythm. These Spartans are 6-1 when they have scored 10 points within the first five minutes of the game. They need to find that same success early in this game.

Purdue is ranked 103rd in Kenpom in their adjusted defensive efficiency. This is not a good defensive team the Spartans are playing and they need to come out with energy and exploit the Boilermakers.

Gabe Brown hit two early threes against Purdue in their first meeting, getting him out of his slump. Can he replicate the success?

Michigan State is so good when they have energy and when Marcus Bingham is down on the block battling for position in the paint. This provides a nice inside out game plan. This allows players space to get an open jumper if it is there. They are shooting at a clip of 49 percent in the Big Ten Tournament and if they can do this again they can get to the championship game.
