2. Gabe Brown scores 20

Don’t look now, but Gabe Brown is heating up.

Thursday’s 13-point showing against Maryland marked the fifth straight game in which Brown scored in double figures which followed up a stretch of 8-of-10 games with fewer than 10 points. He was struggling mightily in the middle of Big Ten play and a lot had to do with his confidence.

Opening up to teammates about his dwindling confidence has seemed to work wonders for Gabe as he is shooting the ball much better lately, making 11 of his last 21 threes. He’s also shooting over 50 percent from the floor. He’s getting back to his early-season self which was averaging closer to 15 points per game and shooting lights out.

Brown is going to do something he hasn’t done since Feb. 5 against Wisconsin on Friday night: score 20-plus points. He had a good start to the tourney against Maryland and he’s going to build on that for his best game in over a month.

Gabe will make four threes and show some aggressiveness on offense, driving the lane and getting to the line a few times as well. He’s going to really put the offense on his back.
