1. Michigan State beats the Terps for a third time

Beating a team three times in a season isn’t easy. Beating a team twice in the span a week is even tougher. Michigan State will do both of those things on Thursday night.

The first matchup against Maryland in College Park looked to be headed toward a blowout with the Spartans up 15 points in the second half, but the Terrapins tied it up late. Michigan State needed a layup from Malik Hall in the final seconds to secure the win.

The second matchup also looked to be headed toward a blowout as the Spartans were up 20 at halftime, but Maryland cut it to three before eventually winning by 10.

Michigan State is going to build yet another solid lead and hold on this time. This game will be much closer throughout, but the Spartans are going to respond to every Maryland run with one of their own.

On the backs of Marcus Bingham, Malik Hall, and Tyson Walker, Michigan State secures a trip to the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals with another win over Maryland, 70-63.
