2. Tyson Walker leads the team in scoring

I’m a big believer in Tyson Walker as Michigan State’s go-to scorer. He has the capability of being a scoring threat for the Spartans and yet he has been hesitant to really take over.

We’ve seen what he’s capable of over the past few weeks. He had a 26-point outburst against Illinois in which he willed Michigan State back into the game after they trailed by 15 points late. He was quiet after that performance outside of an 11-point showing in a blowout loss to Michigan before ending the season with 13 points against the Terrapins on 14 shots. It wasn’t efficient, but he still had a green light which is what everyone likes to see.

I think we’ll see Walker take around 11-13 shots against the Terrapins and he’ll make a few threes along with some layups and free throws to finish with 15 points. He’s going to lead the Spartans in scoring.

Michigan State is only going to go as far as Walker leads it and he’ll have a heavy hand in the team’s offense on Thursday night.
