1. Get off to a hot start

A hot start is what is needed from the seniors and the rest of the Michigan State Spartans. When Michigan State has scored 10 or more points within the first five minutes of the game, it has a 5-1 record. This lone loss is to a Michigan team who the Spartans let get off to just has hot of a start and just could not keep up.

Not only do the Spartans need to get off to a hot start on the offensive end, they need to be on fire on defense as well. The Spartans are 4-5 when they let their opponents get out to a hot start and score 10 or more points within the first five minutes of the game.

Brown and Bingham along with the rest of the seniors need to get this started. Brown has given a boost to the Spartans before. Just a few games ago when the Spartans took on Purdue he hit two early threes and set the tone for the offensive end.

Not only are the offensive and defensive sides are important to get off to a hot start. The Spartans also need to battle on the boards and fight for every loose ball. When the Spartans can do this they will get off to a hot start and give themselves the best chance of winning.
