2. Mady Sissoko is giving quality minutes

In the last two games, Mady Sissoko has given Michigan State some quality minutes. In the game against Purude, he only played a total of four minutes but they were strong minutes. He holds his own against those bigger centers down low.

When Sissoko was in the game again Michigan, he did get beat on the defensive end of the floor. Dickinson was able to get over the top of Sissoko with a height advantage and just better footwork. However, Sissoko was able to hold his ground occasionally. He was not giving up the block easily. He was the only one down low that was fighting and using his body to make it a little harder on Dickinson.

Sissoko was showing signs of vast improvement and that he is deserving of a little more minutes if the other bigs are not going to fight.

On the offense end, he was giving the Spartans a little spark. He was able to add a career high nine points on 3-for-3 shooting with going 3-for-5 from the line. If Mady is going to give that much energy and spirit to the game he is deserving of more minutes. If not more minutes this season than he is definately playing for a role playing position for next year.
