2. Tyson Walker, AJ Hoggard both score at least 10

In games that Tyson Walker and AJ Hoggard both play well, the Spartans are nearly unbeatable.

Michigan State is 3-1 when both point guards score more than 10 points this season and that one loss came against Illinois when the Spartans stormed back behind Walker’s 24 second-half points. The two point guards played very well against the Illini in the final 20 minutes and that’s when everyone realized they excel when they’re on the floor together.

Hoggard is one of the more aggressive and fast-paced guards in the Big Ten while Walker likes to slow things up and play in the half-court more. Both have their strengths and they’ll play off each other on Thursday night.

We’ll see plenty of lineups with Hoggard and Walker on the floor at the same time and they’ll both finish with 10 points as the latter finally starts to look for his own shot.

Neither will be afraid to get shots up and Michigan State will benefit.
