3. The disappearance of Gabe Brown is concerning

Gabe Brown is still the leading scorer of this Michigan State team but he is struggling. This has been going on all month and he just can’t figure out how to score lately. He went 0-7 from the floor against the Hawkeyes with three rebounds and two assists.

Since the meeting in Madison to take on the Badgers in late January, Brown has been off. He has had one solid game where he scored 20 points and was on his game. Without that game, Brown is averaging just six points per game since this first meeting with the Badgers.

Brown has got to figure something out. He has got to “look himself in the mirror” and find himself. It is like he has lost all of his basketball identity. I do not know if something happened or if something was said and got in his head but Brown has got to step it up if these Spartans want to win even just one of these four game remaining games.
