2. Be prepared for that pesky Iowa defense

Fran McCaffery always has his team ready to play the Spartans. The Hawkeyes are so good at having active hands and taking the ball from the Spartans. The Spartans have to be prepared for this.

Michigan State has been having issues with turnovers all season long and it will have to avoid turning it over in this one if they want a shot at winning. The Spartans have telegraphed their passes and they have hesitated on getting the ball in the post, letting opposing bigs get in position to steal the ball.

The Spartans are averaging nearly 14 turnovers a game but in their past two games, they have only had 11 turnovers apiece. If they can continue this trend and keep the turnovers to a minimum, they will pull off the win.

They have to continue this trend in both halves, though.

Most of the turnovers come in the first half which digs the Spartans into a deep hole that is very hard to come back from.
