2. Build off solid defense from Indiana game

This is more of an obvious key to winning. If the Spartans shut down the starters, they should win this game. In this game, it’s even more obvious because four of the Nittany Lions starters are averaging in double figures. The other six players who get valuable time average 20 points combined. This is not good bench production.

If the Spartans can shut these starters down, they will have a blowout win which will do wonders in the confidence department.

Defense will be everything in this game and having Marcus Bingham register a few more blocks would be great for him while he is inching up the all-time list in Michigan State history.

These blocks will be hard to come by, though, as the Nittany Lions have Seth Lundy and John Harrar who both have great footwork and have some moves they can use down low. Their guards will be harder to block as well as Sam Sessoms is a shooter and Jalen Pickett is good at driving the lane and getting the ball off before the ball is blocked.
