Michigan State Football: 5-star QB makes another visit to East Lansing
By Gavin Kozlo
Five-star Dante Moore made his fifth visit to Michigan State football, leaving a lot of fans excited to see if East Lansing will be his new home.
As Mel Tucker and Michigan State football continue recruiting for the class of 2023, five-star quarterback Dante Moore takes his fifth unofficial visit to East Lansing.
Spartans fans are excited to see if Dante Moore will be Tucker’s first five-star recruit and the sixth five-star to ever commit to Michigan State. Not only would this be only the sixth five-star in Michigan State’s long history, but it will also be the first five-star quarterback to attend Michigan State.
Moore is currently attending Detroit King High School and is a top-10 ranked recruit in the 2023 class. During his fifth visit to East Lansing, he was at Breslin Center to check out the facility and to watch the basketball team practice while also visiting the rest of the Spartan coaches.
While on campus, he tweeted out a picture with himself and future Hall of Fame coach, Tom Izzo. He also posted pictures posing in a Michigan State uniform and getting pictures with the Paul Bunyan Trophy, which the Spartans have due to beating Michigan in October.
When he posted the pictures of him with coach Izzo on Twitter, Spartans fans did what they did best and showed all the love to him in his comments and replies, continuing to prove why the Spartans have one of the best fan bases in the world — a lot of positive comments from excited fans hoping to see Moore play for the Spartans in the near future.
Moore is the eighth highest-ranked recruit in the nation on top of being the third-best quarterback in the 2023 class. Along with MSU, Moore also is holding offers from schools such as UCLA, Penn State, Texas Tech, Notre Dame, Michigan, and 2021 national champion Georgia.
As of now, the schools that seem most likely to land Moore are Notre Dame and Michigan. But don’t count out Mel Tucker and the Spartans. Five visits already to East Lansing and I am sure it won’t be the last. As the anticipation to see where Moore goes continues to grow, a lot of Spartans fans are hoping Mel’s first five-star recruit could be the quarterback from Detroit.
