After a tough road loss to Illinois, Michigan State basketball had to come home and take on a surging Michigan team and it made a statement.

The Michigan Wolverines came into the Breslin Center red-hot. They were fresh off a three-game winning streak where they were shooting above 50 percent from the floor. They could not keep that shooting streak alive and fell to a very strong Michigan State team by 16 on Saturday.

Michigan State has been looking to find a dominant win against a quality opponent and they did just that. They were able to make light work of the Wolverines in the second half and soared to an 83-67 win over the in-state rival.

Michigan State struggled to keep the Wolverines off the offensive glass. They gave up 16 of them which was allowing the maize and blue to stay within a few possessions. They also kept turning the ball over in the first half ending with nine turnovers in the first 20 minutes which was another reason they could not pull away from the Wolverines until the second half.

Many good things happened in this game so what are some worthy reactions?
