2. Michigan State corrected some mistakes

Coming into this game, Michigan State was making a habit out of surrendering offensive rebounds and second-chance points and that led to a tough loss against Northwestern in East Lansing.

On top of that, the Spartans were turning the ball over at a high rate.

Against Wisconsin, it looked like those trends were continuing early on. Michigan State turned the ball over four times in the first five minutes and eight times in the first 10-15 minutes. Things were looking bleak for the Spartans. They bounced back and turned it over just five more times the rest of the game, finishing with 13 total.

On top of that, Michigan State held Wisconsin to just seven offensive rebounds and won the battle overall 41-22. That’s exactly what the Spartans needed after three straight poor rebounding performances.

The Spartans corrected some issues this week ahead of the Wisconsin game and that’s a refreshing sign for the Big Ten title run. These mistakes were correctable.
