Michigan State football made a splash on Monday evening, adding four-star Texas running back Kedrick Reescano to its 2023 class.

When people say “Tuck Comin'”, it’s not just an empty phrase. It means something.

It means that Mel Tucker is on his way to the top. And he continues to prove it.

On Monday evening, the second-year head coach entering his third offseason with Michigan State football landed his second commitment in the 2023 class — also his second four-star.

Top running back target Kedrick Reescano from New Caney, Texas, committed to Michigan State over the likes of TCU, Houston, and Oklahoma State.

Reescano had to see what happened with Kenneth Walker III in East Lansing this season and probably thought that the ceiling for his career was the highest with Michigan State.

The 5-11, 190-pound back from Texas is an athlete as he’s a high jump specialist on the track and field team and that’s going to help him when it comes to being a collegiate running back. If he can hurdle defenders, that adds just another dimension to his game and makes him more dangerous in open space.

Reescano is ranked the No. 219 overall recruit and 13th-best running back in the 2023 class and the sky is truly the limit for this kid.

Reescano sparks potentially elite 2023 class for Michigan State football

After watching Reescano’s highlights, I’m sure that he can provide a spark to Michigan State’s backfield with his vision, burst, ability to catch the ball, and toughness.

With his commitment, Michigan State now has two four-stars in the class as he joins four-star tight end Brennan Paracheck.

This is a heck of a start to the 2023 class as Michigan State struggled to land any four-stars from 2017 through 2020. Tuck is absolutely comin’.
