4. Marcus Bingham averages a double-double

Marcus Bingham Jr. has been one of the most improved players not just in the Big Ten but in the country this year. He went from poorly-conditioned, thin big man who got bullied in the post to one of the Big Ten’s best defenders and a player who is capable of putting up 15 and 10 on any given night.

Bingham never averaged more than 11.5 minutes per game in any season but he’s up to 21 minutes per game this year. He’s looking much better conditioned and he doesn’t shy away from bigger centers.

The senior is averaging 10.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 3.1 blocks per game but I don’t even think he’s reached his full potential yet. We’ll see more of what he’s capable of in January.

Bingham is going to have a huge month, averaging a double-double and maintaining that 3.1 blocks per game average. He’s going to play well and continue to gain confidence heading into the heart of Big Ten play.
