1. Turnovers will not be a factor

The Spartans are averaging an astounding 15 turnovers per game. However, there is hope that turnovers will start to become less of an issue. In MSU’s first two Big Ten games of the season, the Spartans only turned the ball over 13 times against Minnesota and 11 times against Penn State which is an average of 12.

Too many, that still sounds like it is a lot of turnovers. However, it’s better than their average of 15 per game and way better than some of the games where they have had 18-20 turnovers. If the Spartans can keep the turnovers down to 12 or fewer like they did in the first two Big Ten games, that will go a long way for this team’s efficiency on the offensive end of the floor.

Against the Grizzlies, the Spartans will start off a little rusty since they are coming off a 10-day hiatus and turn the ball over on four straight possessions but Tom Izzo will call a timeout and the Spartans will get their act together with 12 minutes to play in the first half. They will only have six turnovers at halftime and then in the second half, they will take great care of the ball and finish the night with only nine turnovers.

Tune in to ESPN+ on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. ET to watch the Spartans take on the Grizzlies at Little Caesars Arena.
