Michigan State Football: 5 early signees who’ll have instant impacts in 2022
If there’s one player in this class who I could almost bet on becoming a star, it’s Jaden Mangham. The brother of former Colorado running back (under Mel Tucker) Jaren Mangham is one of the best defensive back prospects in the 2022 class and he’s going to potentially form a heck of a duo back there with Dillon Tatum.
Mangham, however, is a guy who I believe has a quick path to the field because he’s got size, speed, and he’s incredibly aggressive. You may look at him and think he’s just a lanky athlete, but he’s a hitter as well as a physical specimen at 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds.
For a while, it looked like Mangham was headed to West Virginia, but Tucker was able to close on his recruitment over the summer, selling him on hope and now he can buy into the results.
The incoming freshman, and soon-to-be early enrollee, had to see Michigan State’s secondary issues this year and believe that he could make an immediate difference. I think that he’s enrolling early because he believes he could see the field early, and I agree.
I’m interested to see how the four-star looks during the spring game.
