Michigan State Football: 3 reasons 5-star OT Kiyaunta Goodwin will flip to Spartans
1. Early playing time
If there’s one main reason Kiyaunta Goodwin is going to flip to Michigan State on National Signing Day, it would have to be the fact that the Spartans desperately need some help in the trenches. Michigan State’s offensive line has been a liability for years and signing a recruit who could come in and be that starting left tackle from day one would be huge.
Goodwin would probably play early at Kentucky but the Wildcats didn’t have as much success in 2021 as Michigan State and that may play a factor. He’d go to Michigan State where he’d start at left tackle, protecting an All-Big Ten quarterback on a playoff-contending team or he could stay with Kentucky and start on a team that may not see as much success in the SEC.
The choice seems pretty clear here.
At Texas A&M, Goodwin may play early, but there’s no guarantee that he would start there because, well, Jimbo Fisher is recruiting like a mad man.
Goodwin probably has the best chance to start and succeed with Michigan State as an All-Big Ten candidate for a contender.
