1. This team is deep

This might just be one of the deepest Spartan teams I can remember. Not with how many guys they can play and get solid minutes but with the balanced scoring of this team. When one Spartan is off, another steps up as a scorer.

This could be seen with Malik Hall, Gabe Brown, and Tyson Walker all finishing the game with 15 points. However, Marcus Bingham Jr. struggled and only finished six points.

Defenses are having trouble guarding this Michigan State team because the scoring can come from anyone on the floor. If you choose to double-team the Spartans will find the open man and hit the shot.

This will help the Spartans throughout the season because you cannot count on shutting just one player down in order to win like you can against some other teams in the Big Ten. The defense has to guard all five players all the time and that will wear the opponents down and allow the Spartans to continue this hot streak they are on right now.
