2. Joey Hauser will climb out of the slump

Joey Hauser has been quite disappointing as a Spartan. He has not been the scorer that many thought he would be. Hauser has had a couple of decent scoring out but none this year and he’s only shooting 30 percent from the floor and 25 percent from deep.

This scoring is not what the Spartans were expecting when word got out that he was transferring to MSU from Marquette. When he was at Marquette, he shot 45 percent from the floor and 43 percent from deep while averaging nearly 10 points. This is the kind of production that MSU was hoping for and expecting especially this year, however, it has not come — yet.

That is a big “yet”. This is the game that Hauser will climb out of the slump he has been in for a little under a year. He will get involved off the bench early and see the ball fall through the net on his first layup. Hauser will then be perfect from deep shooting 3-for-3 and finish with 12 points.

This is the kind of shooting night that Hauser will need for himself. He is an adequate player off the bench for the Spartans coming into Big Ten play.
