2. Turnovers and steals are crucial

Turnovers have been the downfall for the Spartans for many seasons. They are currently averaging 15.7 per game while only generating 6.3 steals.

This will need to change in order for the Spartans to pull away in this game.

The Cardinals are not much better in the turnover category. They are averaging 14.8 turnovers but they are generating 8.5 steals per game. They have quick hands and move well on the defensive side of the ball. The Spartans will need to be aware of this and make crisp passes. They cannot afford to have this sloppy type of game against a strong ACC team.

If the Spartans can limit the turnovers and move like they have been on defense and create some turnovers on their own they will be in good position to win this Big Ten/ACC Challenge matchup.
