Michigan State Football: 5 recruits Spartans could flip in 2022 class
Another top prospect who may not officially be considered a “flip”, Armani Winfield decommitted from Texas just last week and it feels like Michigan State leads for his services.
The trend over the past couple of weeks for the four-star Texas-based receiver was in favor of Michigan State and after he reopened his recruitment in the middle of the Longhorns vs. Kansas State game, just about every 247Sports recruiting analyst projected him to end up in East Lansing.
While he just received a big offer from Oregon following his decommitment, the general consensus here is that he’s going to be a Spartan barring some sort of drastic change.
Winfield would be one of the crown jewels in Michigan State’s 2022 class, forming a heck of a one-two punch with Antonio Gates Jr. Just imagine those two along with Keon Coleman and Germie Bernard as the premier receivers in a couple of years. This offense is going to be electric if that’s the case.
The 6-2, 180-pound receiver is ranked the No. 174 overall recruit and 25th-best receiver in the 2022 class.
