Michigan State’s receiving corps next season may be one of the deepest in the Big Ten and even nationally if all goes as planned.

If Jayden Reed and Jalen Nailor return and Ricky White is back along with Tre Mosley, Keon Coleman, Christian Fitzpatrick, and Montorie Foster, this unit is going to be a major strength for the Spartans. Add in Antonio Gates Jr. and Germie Bernard, and Michigan State has the most talented group it’s had in arguably decades.

Bernard is a current Washington commit, but after Jimmy Lake has been fired, he may be looking to reopen his recruitment in the near future. Plus, if he’s watched even a second of Washington’s offense this year, he would have to realize that he would be better off elsewhere.

Mel Tucker and the staff have been involved here and have inquired about him in recent weeks, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Spartans gain some momentum for the four-star receiver.

Bernard is ranked the No. 211 overall recruit and 30th-best receiver in the country, according to the composite. The Nevada-native is going to be one to watch as signing day nears.
