2. Kenneth Walker III is back in the Heisman conversation

It wasn’t great weather and there was very little traction for Kenneth Walker III but he still finished with 138 rushing yards and a touchdown on 30 carries. He looked like a true Heisman candidate and he might just take advantage of both Bryce Young and CJ Stroud having rough games to end the season.

Was this enough to make him a favorite for the Heisman Trophy? Probably not, but this is enough to at least get him back into the conversation.

When the weather report read a heavy snowfall, I almost just assumed that he would be completely taken out of the game against an elite defensive front. He was well over 100 yards in the middle of the second half and probably could have broken 150, but the offensive line had one too many breakdowns and didn’t open the holes late.

Michigan State picking up a big win to improve to 10-2 and Walker going for over 130 rushing yards while Young and Stroud didn’t have the best games should be enough to give him a fighting shot at the Heisman.

Either way, this year has been fun to watch with Walker leading the way.
