2. Malik Hall has another huge game

There have been a few times throughout Malik Hall’s career in which he has gone nuclear and barely missed from the floor (the Maryland and Seton Hall games from a couple of years ago come to mind) and he had one of those performances on Wednesday in the Spartans’ first Battle 4 Atlantis matchup against Loyola Chicago.

With the Spartans needing someone to step up on the offensive side of the ball, he took matters into his own hands and scored a career-high 24 points on 9-for-9 shooting.

Hall showed some confidence that he hadn’t flashed in the first three games of the year and now over the past two contests, he’s averaging 19.5 points and eight rebounds. And he’s not afraid to put the ball on the floor and take it to the hoop or spot up for a jumper. A confident Hall is dangerous and Connecticut is about to find that out.

I think Hall continues his hot streak into Thursday afternoon, scoring around 15 points with eight boards again, and hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

If Hall does this consistently, Michigan State is going to be dangerous.
