Michigan State Football: Game-by-game predictions for November 2021
This is the game that really worries me. Ohio State looked beatable at the beginning of the season but the Buckeyes have been unstoppable lately, winning by at least 39 points in four of their past five games. Their only close game was a home contest against a ranked Penn State team that actually put up a decent fight before losing 33-24.
Michigan State, in this scenario, would head into Columbus with a 10-0 record and a playoff berth and Big Ten East title on the line. There will be a ton to play for here.
But like the Michigan game, all the pressure will be on Ohio State because the Buckeyes are expected to win out and beat a team like Michigan State with ease at home. Mel Tucker is still playing with house money and if he’s able to beat the Buckeyes and improve to 11-0, he knows that he’s likely going to be locking up a playoff berth with one more win.
A win over Ohio State would essentially lock up the Big Ten East title for the Spartans.
With that being said, I think CJ Stroud is going to have a big game against this secondary and TreVeyon Henderson will have a decent game, but Kenneth Walker III will steal the show again. Ohio State is just a little too explosive for Michigan State and the Buckeyes win a close one.
Final Score: Michigan State 27, Ohio State 34 (10-1, 7-1)
