In case you haven’t heard by now, Tuck Comin’. Michigan State football shrugged off a 2-5 season a year ago and the Spartans are now 8-0 with the No. 3 ranking in the playoff poll.

Michigan State trails only Georgia and Alabama in the playoff rankings. Who saw that coming at the beginning of the year? No one.

The Spartans now face a critical month of November after beating No. 6 Michigan to end October on a high note. They will see a tough Purdue team, sneaky Maryland squad, and both Ohio State and Penn State. This month is going to be tough, but running the table isn’t out of the question.

How will Michigan State fare in the final month of the regular season?

This isn’t going to be an easy game for Michigan State despite the fact that the Boilermakers were dropped from the rankings after losing to Wisconsin two weeks ago.

Purdue jumped into the AP Top 25 after beating Iowa on the road, 24-7, but Jeff Brohm’s team was knocked out the next week after a 30-13 loss to Wisconsin. The Boilermakers have one of the best scoring defenses in the country and their pass defense has been solid, but I see another big game coming from Kenneth Walker III.

The Boilermakers are trying to play spoiler yet again as they’ve been known to do just that and Saturday’s game in West Lafayette should have Spartan fans nervous.

With that being said, I think Payton Thorne is safe with the ball and makes good throws and the defense bends through the air but doesn’t break. Michigan State finds a way to win a close one to remain undefeated.

Final Score: Michigan State 28, Purdue 24 (9-0, 6-0 Big Ten)
