Defensive Line: B

There was some quality pressure on Jack Tuttle all afternoon long but just not enough on 52 pass attempts. Indiana managed to run the ball 36 times for 134 yards and a touchdown while also throwing it 52 times. Indiana ran a ton of plays and the line still recorded just three sacks, five tackles for loss, and three QB hurries.

OK, so those numbers aren’t terrible, but I was hoping the line would be in the backfield a little more on Saturday, especially since the Spartans had the advantage there.

Jacub Panasiuk had yet another solid game with five total tackles and a sack as he continues to be the top performer on a deep line. Jacob Slade and Maverick Hansen each had five total tackles as well.

There wasn’t a ton of production outside of those three guys as Dashaun Mallory, Jeff Pietrowski, and Simeon Barrow each had one tackle.

The Spartans need to see more from these guys up front against the big boys in the conference.
