1. Michigan State found a way to win another close one

The sign of a good team is finding ways to win when things aren’t looking good and the Spartans did just that on Saturday afternoon.

Down 9-7 at halftime with Indiana getting the ball back, the Spartans found a way to win the game, kicking a field goal to go up 10-9 and then icing the game with a huge touchdown pass to Tyler Hunt. With the score 17-9, the Spartans felt much better and Indiana did add a score, but the defense stopped the two-point conversion.

The Spartans found a way to kick a 49-yard field goal to add to that lead, making it 20-15 and forcing Indiana to score a touchdown if it wanted to win, but the defense held strong.

Mel Tucker has instilled some toughness and a will to win within this team and a year ago, I’m not sure the Spartans win a game like this.

For the second time this year, the Spartans looked shaky on offense and still found a way to win and that just shows how complete of a team they have.

Man, 7-0 going into the Michigan game feels really, really good.
