Last, but certainly not least, is the most ideal addition to the 2022 class with Ryan Baer reportedly off the board due to recent events. Kiyaunta Goodwin may end up as the best offensive tackle in the 2022 class and he had Michigan State as one of his finalists before committing to Kentucky this spring.

Goodwin is ranked the No. 53 overall prospect in the class as well as the sixth-best offensive tackle and No. 2 recruit from the state of Indiana.

And while he’s committed to Kentucky, Michigan State hasn’t stopped recruiting him. Mel Tucker is putting in the work and he’s had plenty of help from Chris Kapilovic. The Spartans have recruited the offensive line well in the short time under Tucker and his new staff and I don’t doubt their ability to flip a kid like Goodwin who just used his own money to take a trip to East Lansing this summer.

Not only that, but he’s planning on taking an official to Michigan State in the fall. If Michigan State is able to land him, it would make up for the loss of Baer, and then some.
