The list gets a little more realistic here as Dillon Tatum is a highly sought-after recruit from the state of Michigan who’s down to the Wolverines and Spartans, it seems.

Big in-state recruiting wins over Michigan will help Mel Tucker in the long run and he learned that in the 2021 class that they are never over until they sign. So even if he’s able to land Tatum over the Wolverines originally, he’s going to have to keep recruiting him until National Signing Day, and vice versa.

Tatum is the No. 265 recruit in the country and he’s also listed as the 13th-best athlete on the composite. He was the backup running back to Michigan’s Donovan Edwards for the past couple of seasons but he’s projected to be a defensive back at the next level. The Wolverines recently hired his head coach so swaying him to East Lansing will be tough.

If Tucker is able to land Tatum and hold on to him through signing day, it’ll be a huge win and potentially a tide-changer in the state of Michigan.
