Michigan State Football: Katin Houser’s stock is soaring at Elite 11 finals
Make Katin Houser a composite four-star, you cowards.
OK, now that I made my private message to 247Sports, Rivals, and ESPN public, it’s time to talk about just how impressive the newest Michigan State football commit has been recently.
Following a classy decommitment message to Boise State, Houser dominated a 7-on-7 competition before committing to Michigan State. Fast forward to this week and he kicked off the Elite 11 finals with some decent throws, impressing some of the scouts and recruiting experts in attendance.
On Thursday night while many Michigan State fans were already asleep, Houser was dominating the pro day drills at the Elite 11 finals in California, earning the highest score (48 out of 50) in the drill which turned heads just about everywhere. He made some incredible throws and even had Devin Gardner jumping out of his seat.
The showing was good enough to have some big-time recruiting analysts rave about his performance via 247Sports.
As if that wasn’t enough, Greg Biggins released his top performers of Day 2 and Houser made the top five behind Devin Brown (USC), Quinn Ewers (Ohio State), Drew Allar (Penn State), and Ty Simpson (Alabama). That’s not bad company there.
Michigan State football struck gold with Houser
It seems clearer by the day that Michigan State struck gold here with one of the fastest-rising 2022 quarterbacks in the country.
Rated as a three-star by the composite and a four-star by 247Sports, it seems like only a matter of time before he’s a composite four-star. This performance at the Elite 11 camp should launch him up the 2022 class rankings and it wouldn’t be all that shocking to see him in the top 200 by the time signing day rolls around.
Houser is going to shoot up the rankings and Mel Tucker has to feel lucky that he flipped the rising star from Boise State.
Michigan State has its QB1 of the future, folks.
