Michigan State football spring game 2021 live stream: How to watch online
Saturday is a big day for Mel Tucker and Michigan State football. Not only is Tucker hosting his first spring game as Michigan State’s head coach, but he’s also showing the progress of the team in his first full offseason after COVID-19 impacted his initial year.
Michigan State has some newfound hype and hope around the program with Tucker’s presence in the transfer portal. Fans will get to see a handful of those transfers on Saturday as guys like Anthony Russo, Kenneth Walker III, Jarrett Horst, and Drew Jordan will partake in spring game festivities while the rest of the transfers will be here this summer.
This is also the first time fans will be in attendance at Spartan Stadium since Tucker took over last offseason. He hasn’t been able to host a full crowd, but this will be a nice taste.
Position battles could steal the show as the quarterback position will be closely monitored all afternoon. Will Russo be able to come in and win the starting job over Payton Thorne? Will Walker take over in the backfield over Connor Heyward, Elijah Collins, and Jordon Simmons? Will Horst fit in nicely with the offensive line?
All eyes will be on East Lansing on Saturday afternoon.
